Hello, I'm Ahmed
Research Assistant @ KAIST
I am a Research Assistant at KAIST's Innovative Energy Systems Engineering Research Center (IESEL), Daejeon, South Korea, under the supervision of Prof. Daejun Chang. My research focuses on solar thermal energy systems, thermal energy storage (TES), and energy system modeling and optimization.

Prior to joining KAIST, I worked as an R&D Engineer at Elsewedy Electric, contributing to the development, optimization, and validation of power transformers — covering manufacturing support, thermal & structural FEA simulations, and material evaluation for cores, windings, and insulation systems. I also worked at Carrier Midea Egypt as an R&D Design Engineer, designing AC refrigeration systems and developing sourcing strategies.

With a strong background in process simulation, cryogenic systems, Python-based engineering tools, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), I tackle complex energy engineering challenges. My project portfolio includes CO₂ liquefaction plant design, PVT + stratified TES co-simulation, and industrial blanket gas system design.

I hold a B.Sc. in Mechanical Power Engineering from Ain Shams University, Cairo, and I am currently pursuing my M.S. at KAIST.
